Most people experience stress and anxiety from time to time. Stress is any demand placed on your brain or physical body. You may feel stressed when multiple competing demands are placed on you, or when you are feeling frustrated or nervous. Anxiety is a feeling of fear, worry, or unease. It can be a reaction to stress or can occur even when you aren't able to identify significant stressors in your life.

Eating disorders are serious but treatable mental and physical illnesses that can affect all people. If you find that you are preoccupied with your body, food, weight loss, dieting, control of food, restriction or binging, it is time to seek help. As with eating disorders, body image concerns can affect us all. A negative body image involves a distorted perception of your size & shape. Negative body image/body dissatisfaction involves feelings of shame, anxiety, and self-consciousness. You may feel your body is flawed in comparison to others, and struggle with feelings of depression, isolation, low self-esteem, and eating disorders.
If you are struggling with disordered eating and/or body image concerns, it would be an honor to guide you on your counseling journey toward making peace with food and your body. Online therapy is now available as a safe, accessible tool to enhance your treatment options.
In 2001, I began my education in a variety of mindful, integrative and somatic modalities. As a 500 Hour Experienced Level Yoga Instructor, I incorporate my trainings and knowledge in holistic health & wellness into each of my individualized sessions with clients. I now offer a variety of accessible options for online therapy and virtual mental health counseling from the safety of your own home.
